My Mike Holmes Moment

I had a teachable moment today as I was trying to finish the last of my back yard project I started several weeks ago. I decided to try my hand at laying concrete pavers with a paver mold. My only problem? I was in a hurry, I didn't give myself time to finish, and I rushed to get it done. Not only did I make a big mess, but when I woke up this morning and looked at the work I had completed the night before, I was less than happy with the messy, crumbly, uneven results. That's when I heard the immortal words of Mike Holmes echoing in my brain... If you're going to do it, do it right the first time. Well, I failed you Mike! But my Mike moment didn't end there. I tore it all up, and started fresh. This time, though, I'm taking my time and I'm doing it right. Even if it is the second time around. Have a great Saturday!
