“Behind The Overalls” offers a softer look at the DIY guru.

Mike Holmes, one of the country's most recognizable contractors, is celebrating a decade with the HGTV network.
The host of a number of a DIY shows such as "Holmes on Holmes" and "Holmes Inspection," he will now be appearing in a retrospective of his life called "Behind The Overalls" where he reveals more about his personal life.
Mike Holmes made his debut appearance on HGTV Canada back in 2003 with the launch of the hit series "Holmes on Homes," which he followed up with "Holmes Inspection" and "Holmes Makes It Right." In addition to generating a remarkable fan base, these series have received critical acclaim, garnering 13 Gemini nominations over the last 10 years. He was also named one of the Most Trusted Canadians by Reader’s Digest two years running, and he was named the third Most Trusted Celebrity by Forbes Magazine.
On the new anniversary special "Behind The Overalls," Holmes gets personal and answers fan questions, reveals a day in his life, revisits his childhood, reflects on his greatest memories from the last 10 years, and also gives a hint to what’s next. There will be special appearances from celebrities like Randy Bachman, David Suzuki, Liza Fromer, Rick Campanelli, and Cheryl Hickey.
The "Behind The Overalls" special premieres Tuesday, April 9th at 9pm on HGTV Canada, followed by new episodes of the hit series "Holmes Makes It Right" Tuesdays at 9pm beginning April 16th.
